My Kids at the Boise Depot

I love taking photos at the Boise Depot, there are so many colors, textures, and the lighting is great.

It's a little cold here in Boise!

This is Aspen, she is a beauty!

Here is Tristan, what a handsome kid!

These two, my kids, are the namesake of my business and the two of my favorite people on the planet!

Cameron and Family

This is Cameron. He is a Senior in High School and in the Fall will be attending BSU to become a teacher...for now that is the plan! (These things change... sometimes.)

What a great smile!!

Meet Garret. This is Cameron's brother. He has the greatest eyes and has a wonderful spirit. I don't know who is the luckier, Garret for having Cameron as a brother or Cameron for having Garret as one. This is one special kid!

Awe... what a beautiful family! Thank you, Anne and Kids for allowing me to spend part of the day with you! Anne, you are one blessed mom!

A Family Portrait

These are two of my favorite dogs - Gus and Petey! They are my sister's dogs. Gus is very easily distracted and Petey will do anything for a kibble of food!

Meet Luke and Megan, my brother-in-law and sister. They came to spend Thanksgiving in Boise and wanted some pictures to put in their Christmas cards.

Awe... aren't they cute!!

Thanks, Megan and Luke, for being such an awesome part of my life! I love you both... and your pooches too.

Laicy and Kody

This is Laicy. She it was so great to photograph her. Her personality and beauty are amazing!
This photo was taken at the Boise Train Depot. It was fun to go and have some fun girl time, while getting some great shots!

This was taken at Freak Alley in Boise. I love this place for photos. It is inspiring.

Laicy on the train tracks, yes we looked before she sat!

Meet Kody, Laicy's awesome dog! He was so good for this shoot, we didn't have him on the leash for most of the session because he was just that good!

Thanks Laicy, for the fun and for the photos! You are one of a kind and I like it!!

100 Years of Life

Meet Lydia, my granny. When these photos were taken she was 100 years and 18 days old. Precious, is just one of the many words I would use to describe her.

Faithful...

An immeasurable blessing...

And beautiful... That is my Granny.

Thanks Kam Taylor for editing these. I, literally, couldn't look at these to edit them because I cried every time I would try.

Posted No Trespassing

Okay, sometimes you have to trespass... a little, to get the good shots. :)

This place is being torn down... It was a great place to take photos.
This is some glass that caught my eye. Sometimes there is a certain beauty in destruction.

This is wire... it is beautiful! I reall love this photo.

Rod and Randee

Meet Rod and Randee...
It was very fun to photograph them, although I do have to say I was a little nervous at first because it was my first time shadowing my mentor Kam Taylor. I wanted to do a good job not only for me, but for her... I didn't want to let her down.

They got married in a hot air balloon!!

Thanks, Rod and Randee, for the great session!!

Awe, I love this photo. I think it is the way they lean into one another. Rod said he doesn't smile much, but I think he saves those smiles for Randee!

The Brouwers Family

Here are some shots of a wonderful family!! We went to visit them in North Idaho... it is a beautiful place for sure!

Here is another shot of our friends! I asked them to take off their shoes. Dad, on the left, kicked off just one boot! :) I love it!!!

From Little a Town to the Big City

These kids are from a little town called Peirce, ID. Whenever they come we always try to do something fun that they can only do in Boise. So, we went to the Boise Train Depot. It is a great place to take photos and the view looking out over the front lawn in the Capitol Building.

Here is Chase looking at a bug he found. It was hard to get him and his brother and sister to hold still long enough for a photo, much less a session, but we finally got the shots and it was a fun day with old friends!

A Boy at the Park

The sun was out and so was school...sort of...

This photo was taken at Katherine Albertsons Park... or more commonly known as "the picture park." It was a hookie day from school that was appreciated by a mother and a son.

Tulips and Aspen

This photo is great because my daughter just finished painting. There is paint on her hand and chips in her nail polish... that is her to a T. :)

These were taken in Post Falls, ID at my grandmother's house. Her tulips are, as always, beautiful. My daughter picked them, much to my chagrin, but they made for a great session with her. She had fun and that always makes for great shots.

The Things We Often Miss

This photo is one of my favorites. I was walking home after I dropped my daughter off at the bus stop, the sprinklers had just gone off leaving behind these wonderful water drops on the leaves of my lillies. Sometimes beauty is in the simplest things we walk by everyday and never notice.

Just Getting Started

I have had fun over the last months getting out, taking photos, and working with my friend and mentor Kam Taylor! Now, is the time to make my dream of having a successful photography business a reality. I know they say, "Baby steps", but in my case I just have to take the leap out of the nest and get it going. Thank you to all of you who read this blog and all of you who have given me gentile (or not so gentle) pushes... I need those.

I will be posting photos and information regarding them soon... keep on the look out!!

Have a great day!!
